不，不知道你在哪里听说过。 VB-2005是对VB-2003的升级。

这都是.net并且无法生成VB6兼容代码。

VB6是一种死语言对于未来，将不会有任何更新。

I am thinking of buying a copy of VB but which one. The MS site does not
help.

The newer versions look like VB2005 and VBNet. But they look like they
maybe the same thing but with a different name. Is VB2005 only available in
Beta? I tried to find a place on MS site to buy and I kept getting VB2003
NET or some thing like that.

So I would appreicate some input from the people that are using VB.

The current 2005 version is the beta release of a product that will be
available on November 7th.

I would recommend that you download and use the free beta version until then
unless you have to actually produce some commercial code.

Thanks for that informatin. From reading post under upgrade.... it seems
that VB2005 is an upgrade to VB6 and .Net is a different breed - aimed at net
development? Is that correct. But I also understand that VB2005 will create
..Net code?

No, don''t know where you heard that. VB-2005 is an upgrade to VB-2003.
It''s all .net and will NOT be able to produce VB6 compatiable code.
VB6 is a dead language for the future, there will not be any updates to it.
