however what I really need is when such equipment were assigned earlier like for example Car assigned toDate is March 1, 2013 and I run the report dates between April 1 to April 30, 2013 it should still be included in the report because it''s not yet released by the user ...

yes ... because if u run the report on dates april 1 to april 30 ...and the car was assigned march 1 logically it will not appear on the report because i made a query BETWEEN txtFromDate (april 1) and txtToDate (april 30)
