We have to turn a couple of legacy applications into mobile apps for our clients so their employees can do work on the go.

What are some good tools to help in developing mobile apps? OS specific tools(android, apple, blackberry)? Debuggers, IDE''s, SDKs, etc . . .

I''ve only started developing mobile apps for my Android and I use Eclipse because the Android OS is Java/XML-based. I had to download the Android SDK from the Android developers website, along with the emulator for testing. I only develop for my phone for kicks, so you probably already know this, but in any case you''ll have to download the SDK for the specific Android operating system you''re developing for (Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, etc.).

I''m not sure if this helps or not, but I thought I''d respond just in case. There are a number of good videos on YouTube that provide tutorials for developing Android apps and all the ones I''ve viewed recommend Eclipse.
