You cannot run an Access file from a CD except in read-only mode even if you
have the CD formatted with packet writing capability. Those kinds of
"writes" are still not the same as writes to a truly read/write medium.
They are "burns" to the unused portion of the disk whereas true read/write
media can actually change existing bytes of the file. The latter is what
Access requires.
