Yes, you can. No problem at all.
What you CAN''T do is run beta1 and beta2 on the same machine.

May I ask why you crossposted this to a dozen groups including csharp and vb
groups if the question is VC related? Don''t do that, it''s not polite and
wastes other people''s time.

yes you may - actually it''s not a question specific to VC .. it''s a *visual
studio* question, and that means VC, VB, C# et al .. I looked for a visual
stiudio-specific group but couldn''t find one..

tip: please don''t take it upon yourself to inform us of what is and isn''t
polite on the Internet .. *that* is also considered to be impolite by many
including myself... nobody is forcing anyone to read my post.. let alone
respond to it..

Although you have one response indicating that the combination is safe (and,
it probably is), you may not be so lucky if/when you have to remove Beta 2.
In general, putting beta software on a production machine is not a good
idea. So, ask yourself if you can deal with the consequences if things don''t
work out and you end up having to format/reinstall from scratch. I''d suggest
using Virtual PC, or setting up a separate partition for the beta.
