According to me buying IT-technical books is very simple: Find the latest
release of O''Reilly on the subject.
They NEVER disappointed me, and I have a lot of them. :-)

Thank you.The most useful PHP book for me was about PECL. The "Camel" book does a
very good job explaining Perl-style regular expression. It''s worth
paying for the whole book just for those chapters.
O''Reilly''s Dynamic HTML reference is a must-have. It almost never
leaves my desk.
It''s hard to go wrong with O''Reilly. Their Apache book was kind of
crummy though.
