The nav bars of my web site break at least three different ways depending on
which browser is used, and they''re all ugly. I''ve tried adding white-space:
nowrap; to the li. It breaks better in MSIE but not in FireFox. Even then,
the text is all the way against the left border. Where did the padding go?

Move the white-space:nowrap from "#menubar ul li" to either "#menubar"
or "#menubar ul". In both cases wrapping does not occur at all. This has
the effect that the menu extends past the right on narrow view windows.
If you do not like that, use multiple <ul></ul> sections within the
#menubar div. The break then occurs between the ul''s when the window
narrows down.
Overall the above is not a very good solution.
The menu size has simply grown too large to display horizontally. At
least as a single line.

Thank you, Jim. So if I leave the nav buttons written as one horizontal
list, it won''t break nicely with the borders I specify. I''d like to believe
there''s some way to get this "look" AND break nicely with CSS. I will
rethink the design. There are examples out there for me to ponder. More
suggestions are always welcome of course.
