Just a warning to the group. The Google Toolbar causes Firebug to
issue lots of "Too much recursion" errors in the toolbar.js and
eventual causes my Firefox browser to stop responding when using the
javascript window.open method. Removing the Google Toolbar fixes the
problem.

As far as I am concerned this is *news*. You should realize that not
every post is intended for or about you ''PointedEars'', there are lots
of other members of the group and maybe my experience could help
someone.

by the way, I am using the latest version of Firefox for Ubuntu 7.10
and I would rather live without the Google Toolbar than upgrade/
downgrade Firefox.

If you cannot provide instructions that allow any reasonably competent
reader, given access to the specified software/versions, to reliably
reproduce the issue at will then it does not exist. To date no such
instructions have appeared, while if the situation was a clear as you
originally suggested those instructions should be easy to produce.
