Well , I have tried to use a table with the file name stored as string , it did not work ,then i tried to enter the file name and full path into the ON CLICK event , "I wanted tocheck the method before building up the table"

You can use code to fetch a list of the valid filenames you may want from a particular directory, unless your filenames are found in vaious locations.... Then I would use a table and store the path/filename as a string, then query the table as the record source for your combo box.
