A user is complaining that Access Dbs on her PC asks her to type in a
username and password whenever she opens an Access Db. The username that
appears in the username box is the same as her network username.
No password actually works to open any DB. I''ve also logged in to that pc
using the Admin account and get the same problem. She does not not have this
problem (i.e. opening the same Db) on another pc.
The Db in question is NOT secured and has not had a password applied to it.
Anyone have any ideas what''s happening here?

The System.mdw was there. I replaced it with a clean copy as you suggested
and I still have access prompting me for a password.
Any other ideas.

Are you asked for a user name and password or just a password? User-Level
security would ask for both. If you are only asked for a password then
either someone HAS applied a password or your file is corrupted.
Unfortunately that form of corruption is usually not correctable (except by
reverting to a backup).
