什么平台？我使用UltraEdit来做这种事情（为了简单起见，我保存了那种任务

Can someone recommend a good php editor? Beside syntax highlighting, I
am looking for an editor that will allow me to do "block selection"
(that is, copy from column, say, 5 to column 12 of several lines of
text).

Are there any free editors that will do this?

i prefer Vim :-) (http://www.vim.org).
You also could try Eclipse (http://www.eclipse.org).
Maybe Jedit is also an alternative (http://www.jedit.org).
If you want just a Windows Editor try Weaverslave

What platform? I use UltraEdit for that kind of thing (I save that kind
of task until I am in Windows for simplicity). I think that EditPad does
the same IIRC from what I''ve read here. I don''t know what other
platforms have though. (I mostly use ZDE for my editing.)
