I'm currently writing a C program that prompts a user to enter five cities and the temperatures of those cities over a span of five years and also to display the maximum of the temperatures given. So here's a function I came up with to display the maximum temperature when called;

The problem is that you have two separate problems.
The first is that you have called your "print max" function in the wrong place: you want it called after the loop that loads temperatures has finished, or you are calculating the maximum including data you haven't had entered yet!

The other is that you reset the current max value each time you go round the loop to find the biggest temperature - it needs to be reset once before the loop starts, not inside it.
