One of my friend is new to SEO. He was doing some practical on my existing site. Before he did something my site was on 5th of google search on one particular query. But I dont know what he did, He is telling he did something like social bookmarking; and now my site is nowhere in google search in that same query. I doubt my site is now in spam list. Am I correct? Is there any way to know if my site is declared spam by search engines? And if yes then how can I take it out from spam list???

Please some one help me who knows about seo...

thanx a lot pete.. my site is www.hindustanexperts.com if I search like this "hindustan experts" it will come first on google. and I checked your given site also and m very happy to see that my site is not in that black list. thanks a lot. But still one question is there in my head. why my site is removed from dat search???

If you put your site name in to Google as a test, does it get returned at the top of the list (it should)? It's possible that the changes that he has done has completely borked the site so that it reduces its relevance in the search engines (one thing to check is that you still have plenty of inbound links to your site as these are more relevant to search engines).

If you are worried about your site being in a spam list, take a look at this[^] site and see if your URL has been blacklisted.
