i want to start programming with mysql databases cause i heard that this datatbases are running at all computers without addition software.
months ago i started programming with oledb databases in access. but a lot of friend still have no office. so they can't use my programs.

can you tell me how to set up the software to create databases and how to use it e.g. in a dataGridView? i'm a liitle bit familiar with the sql-commands (e.g. select, from, ...). please help me.

This statement is false. They can use your programme, but they need .net providers to be installed on their machines. MS Office (including MS Access) is not required.
