We could possibly provide you with answers, but none of them would be the best answer because we are unaware of your needs, Visual Studio 2010 is just the IDE that you are using, it has nothing to do with the ASP.NET version or the framework being used, perhaps Web Forms? These are the most-wanted for a hosting service that you need to be having before you should consider anything else. Now, the bandwidth is calculated for incoming and out-going traffic. You would need to have enough juice in the package to support the traffic as it grows some day later. If you are building a website where you don't need to get user input, then you can cut short the HDD space for sure. But a site where users can upload media, you definitely need a lot of space. So make sure you consider this point.

Of course you don't want to get server down error when you are navigating to your own website. That is why, make sure that the service guarantees 99.9% uptime. Globehost guarantees 100%; I don't buy that facade!

Now comes the framework needs, almost every hosting service I have been to provides mutliple solutions to your applications, for example they provide you with SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2012 etc. ASP.NET versions 4 and 5 and previous also. Thus, that won't be a problem. The problem is the subscription they provide, since tools are already there. You just need to see how much you can use for how much. :)

Plus, you also need to see how does their control panel work. How can you access the content, are you going to get "Access in denied" problems, are you going to use your own connection strings and other stuff, are you able to send emails from your own client (GoDaddy causes a havoc with SMTP settings, most of the users post questions regarding the trouble they face on GoDaddy). There are many things you need to consider before purchasing the plan. ASP.NET or SQL Server themselves do not matter, it is the services they provide you with, for a budget.

Finally, I have heard most of the users use GoDaddy, perhaps because of the extensions they provide you with, maybe due to the CPanel or what I am not sure, I never purchased a service for my own use, just for my cousins or clients. If I had to purchase a service for myself, I would purchase a new laptop that can host my content and a static IP address! Interested in this approach to host on your own machine?[^]
