can i go with Data Grid, Repeater or some other controls ?

For storing the images database or application folder is the best option.

Most typical and reasonable way of storing and referencing images on a Web site is giving each image a unique name and storing them in the file system of your host running the HTTP server. You can then store just the file names, say, in a database. But storing images in a database is always possible; you will find a lot of code samples and articles on this topic.

The question about using grid view, repeater, and anything like that seems to be irrelevant. You can use whatever you want.
