I know how to get the printer name and printer capabilities and such. The problem I have is that a new printer in my mother's house goes offline after a few minutes. Although I like this feature, it does mean that she has to get up to turn the printer online and then go back to the computer to print. Does anyone have experience with this problem who is further along the development path than me?

You're going to have to get with the manufacturer of the printer to see if there is an SDK to use and if this is even supported.

This is not a standard functionality so you're not going to find anything pre-written to do this.
