There are a lot of samples and articles which explain much about ASP.NET's features to connect to different databases; such as SQL Server or MySQL. You need to provide the connectionString to connect to your database. Which can be easily accessed through http://connectionstrings.com[^].

Then you can create databases, and objects to handle and store the events. Sadly, if you're not able to do this... Best option is, that you go and speak to your instructor and tell him that you're facing the problem. Asking someone for help in such cases won't help you. Your instructor would guide you through.
