I want to perform auto discovery of the devices within a IP subnet and draw a diagrammatical view of the devices in the network using C# can anyone suggest a mechanism to get the device type of the given ipaddress. please help. I don't want to use nmap or any os fingerprinting tool. can it be done by using TCP IP or UDP broadcasting. Please let me know if my question is confusing you.
