MHT files are Web page archive file formats - not VS2010 addons.

I suspect that what you did was right click the download page and select "Save as" instead of pressing a "download" or "install" button. So the file you get is an archive of the page showing you where to download, not the download package itself.

Try it: Find the MHT file in Windows Explorer, and double click it. It should open in a browser and you will see what I mean.
