Here is my advice: wake up: SVG is natively supported in HTML5 which is supported my most decent browsers and might become universally supported sooner then you finish your next project. I hope there is no need to explain why SVG is infinitely better than any raster graphics. ("Infinitely" can be understood almost literally: vector graphics can be scaled to any arbitrary scale without any loss of quality, any pixellation.)
