I'm getting desperate trying to get the jquery mobile pagebeforeload event to fire. This just does nothing:

 $(document).on("pagebeforeload", function( e, data ) {
        console.log("hello");
    });

Make sure you're including preventDefault(); Otherwise, it'll just merrily continue loading.
