[英] B-Series - Can someone explain the base CPU preformance?
Rob
我们在B系列上有很多文档  ;

Hi,
I've been using B series VMs for a little while and mostly on light load websites. I've just deployed a new VM that has a small database running on it. The VM is a B2MS so has a CPU baseline of 60% I understood from the MS documentation that if the VM was running below this baseline it would earn credits and when it burst over that it would then consume them.
This VM is running at an average (Azure portal stats) of about 28% (with bursts to 60% about once an hour) but all the credits have been consumed and it's not generating any new ones hence it is being throttled (as expected). Is there some kind of human-fied calculator out there that will give me an acurate consumption rate vs CPU loading?
Any help gratefully received.

We have quite a few docs on the B series
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/introducing-b-series-our-new-burstable-vm-size/
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/linux/b-series-burstable
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/linux/compute-benchmark-scores#b---burstable
We also have the B-Series in the Azure Pricing Calculator
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/calculator
I can understand trying to calculate what the VMs will cost can be hard.
You are correct that if the VM is running under the baseline CPU you should be acquiring credits. Those credits will then be spent to up the CPU power as needed instead of scaling out to larger sizes or more instances. So the cost should be essentially be however long you are running the VM. Which means a straight cost per hour. We simply price these machines lower as the CPU performance can vary so it only makes sense for certain workloads.
