Via low level testing, I've verified that Azure is blocking tcp port 445, even though my Azure firewall allows the traffic.

To verify, I ran tcpdump on the Azure instance and ran nmap -> nping on the local non-cloud server.

What is the workaround to force Azure to allow tcp port 445.  I'm only allowing 445 from one IP address so there is no security concerns.

Please note that you should open outbound port instead of inbound port 445.There is a similar issue in SO that you can refer to.
