我有一个VmWare -Azure ASR设置。故障转移后，当我启动重新保护时，需要花费大量时间。我的理解是重新保护作业应该只传输在Azure上进行的更改，而不是再次传输整个复制。这是正确的吗？ 

I have a VmWare -Azure ASR setup. After the failover when I initiate a re-protect it takes lot of time. My understanding is re-protection job should only transfer changes made on Azure and not the whole replication again. Is this correct ? 

如果只是我所做的更改（以Kbs为单位），为什么需要4-5个小时？ 

if it is only the changes I made ( which are in Kbs) why it takes 4-5 hours ?

4-5 hours is not expected but it will take few minutes to calculate the diff between source and target. We need to do a check-sum comparison to identify which blocks have changes before transferring them. The diff calculation for a VM is dependent on the number of disks and size of disks.
