Since moving my website and database to ionis 1 and 1 server, trying to verify and restore backups using SSMS on my local machine fails. 

I have also tried repeating the exercise with a blank DB with the same results.

What should I be looking for to resolve this?

The remote server is using SSMS 17 and my local machine is SSMS 14
