I am trying to move our SharePoint 2013 enterprise wiki site collection from test to live, so i tried the following steps:-

1. as our enterprise wiki site collection contain managed metadata columns which are linked to term sets, so i backup-ed our managed metadata database from test and restore it inside the live using the sql server management studio.

2. then i run the following command to link the managed metadata service with the restored database:-

$app = Get-SPServiceApplication -Name "<ServiceApplicationName>"
Set-SPMetadataServiceApplication -Identity "<Name/GUID of service application>"  -DatabaseName "<DatabaseName>"

and i got all the term sets and terms copied correctly.

3. then i took a backup of our enterprise wiki site collection , and i restore it inside live using this command:-

and the site collection was restored succsfully. but when i edit a wiki page i found that all the managed metadata columns are greyed out ,a s follow:-

and when i checked the managed metadata site column i found that they are not linked to any term sets, as follow:-

so can anyone adivce why i am facing is issue? although the source and destination term sets and terms got the same name an GUID... so the restored site collection's managed metadata columns should got linked to the correct terms sets.. is this correct?

Compare the termsets and terms of both farms, Does the Guid are the same?

If the Guid of termsets and terms are different between two farms, your managed metadata columns, which point to those termsets won’t work anymore in your new farm because the GUID of the termset it links.

Per my research,  you can move your managed metadata and keep the ID using PowerShell, Refer to the following steps:

Step 1 - Export Term Store script
