您好，

当我创建新的AKS群集时，它会询问我想要运行此群集的VM类型上。我是否为价格计算器指示的VM（CPU，RAM，磁盘空间）支付固定金额，或者我是否支付该价格的特定百分比，具体取决于我用b $ b多少钱？ 

When I create a new AKS cluster it asks me what type of VM I want to run this cluster on. Do I pay a flat amount for that VM( CPU, RAM, diskspace) like the price calculator indicates or do I pay a certain percentage of that price depending on how much I use it?

Will I be billed if I don't run anything during downtime?

VM会在高流量情况下扩展，例如我们对VM造成压力的年度更新将会比其他364天更多。

Will the VM scale up during high traffic situations like a yearly update where our strain on the VM will be more than the other 364 days.

If it is the flat amount what exactly are the advantages of going with AKS over let's say a regular VM that we configure with docker etc..Or is it the fact that we don't have to configure it that we should choose for AKS?

It is not flat. Depends on the storage usage and network traffic.

Will I be billed if I don't run anything during downtime?
You will not be billed for the compute component. However, you will incur charges for the amount of data stored in a storage account.

If it is a VMSS set up and you've enabled auto scaling,  the VM will scale up if the average CPU is higher than the threshold value.
