Hi there,

we have 2 separate O365 tenants for the mother company and a close subsidiary and want the employees of both tenant to be able to access the other's tenant SharePoint and OneDrive.

We imported the other tenant's users as contacts in the Azure AD, which does the trick für Exchange.
However our users cannot chose these contact users to invite for SPO or OdfB.
They can only invite users with an account in the AD.

My assumption is that we need the users from the other tenant as guest users, either instead or in addition to the contact objects.

However the guest user process includes an invitation process before the guest user "is active".
Only 10 % of our users need to collaborate, and we do not train everybody on this invitation process, but also do not
know upfront which of the 10% need the inter-tenant collaboration.

is there a possibility I can skip this initial invitation process or only trigger it when the guest user is eventually invited to a SPO / ODfB Share or any other SAAS application?
