I used the Visual Studio 2005 version. But recently I upgraded that version to 2012 Pro.
Then, when I opened the source file created by VS 2005, the "Attch to Process" pop-up was activated.

It wasn't active until I used 2005. Why is it activated? And is there any way to disable the pop-up?

Is there some warning info in the "attach to process" pop-up, like this one shows: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/debugger/security-warning-attaching-to-a-process-owned-by-an-untrusted-user?view=vs-2017&viewFallbackFrom=vs-2015 .  is it same security error as you encountered in VS 2012? When did you met this pop-up? Debugger or else?

If so, please make sure Visual Studio is not running when changing the registry key or it will be overwritten on exit with the old value. Then Change the following registry key to 1: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0\Debugger\DisableAttachSecurityWarning
