I am migrating now from Excel 2016 to SQL Server 2017. I used to run my queries, connecting to OData through Excel by using the Data menu/New Query and then create a "Blank Query" running my script to enter data from OData source, that worked fine.
I am trying the same with the SSMS (2017), but could not find how. Or, any other way to run the query filling up my new SQL database (2017) would be ok too.

I don't understand what you are trying to do. SQL Server don't offer a OData web services, you have to create an own one if you want to get data through a web service.
