I was trying to learn how to use the SQL server profiler and recieved the following error message after I went to tools and selected SQL server profiler.

The Profiler functionality you are familiar using with an on-premise SQL Server instance is not supported with Azure SQL Database nor Azure SQL Data Warehouse (and is being depracated in SQL Server). It its place is a set of Dynamic Management Views or DMVs for short, and some additional tools.
