As SP Task list doesn't allow to create folders so is there any other option to manage permissions of the relevant group tasks?

For example I have HR Team and IT team and their groups are available in site permissions.

now scenario is that I wanted to manage all tasks in same list but IT team should not be able to see tasks of HR team and vice versa.

Item level permission is alternate option but I don't want to go with this option because managing item level permissions too much complex.
