I want to grow as a technical architect in Microsoft technologies.

Hi, if you want to grow up as an architect, I think you must learn two different groups of things:
- some presentation technogies to improve your skills: asp.net mvc or Windows store apps (Windows 8)
- ALM and methodology: I advice you to learn scrum or kanban, and how to use them With ALM software, like Microsoft Team Foundation Server
