Hey guys,

I'm brand new to Bing maps and Wondering how to get a return on the Geocode api for an area of a city.  For example if I wanted to find -- city(area)  or  Abbotsford (Matsqui Prairie area) 

google's api would return the centre of area

lat = 49.106961

lng = -122.295973

What I'm looking to do is get this type of result using bing maps.

Any help would be appreciated.

For geocoding you can use Find a Location by Query: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff701711.aspx, that returns latitude and longitude coordinates for a location that is specified as query string. For example:

http://dev.virtualearth.net/REST/v1/Locations?q=Abbotsford,%20Canada&key=<BingMapsKey>
