I went through the docs, there are little information about application sharing, I'm not very clear of the flow of starting application sharing. Are there any resources to demonstrate this? Any documents?

It is not currently supported by either UCWA or the Skype Web SDK. There has been talk about it, but nothing public. When looking at the response to the applications request you will also notice that there is not a link for startApplicationSharing.  You may see events containing information about the applicationSharing modality, but there has been no guidance how to interact with the modality.  Maybe in the future this will change and we will start to see public documentation and samples.
