We are developing a (commercial) Windows Desktop application, which intends to use BING Maps as background maps for geospatial data. We request and fetch the Bing-Maps-tiles using the Opensource library BruTile an render them as background-layer in our application. BruTile offers the possibility of a filesystem cache, in order to cache tiles for (temporary) offline-use and to reduce network usage.
