Can anyone tell me what Cold Fusion is about? Upon Googling I got to know that it is about a scripting language, creating dynamic web pages, connecting HTML pages to databases.

May I know how old this technology is and any scope for this in the future. Please suggest to me whether I should continue in this or change platforms.

ColdFusion is actually the IDE which has its own compiler. CFML is the mark up language that is used in Web applications. It is used to connect simple HTML pages to the database.
