I am working on a project that requires the user to wear a high visibility jacket whilst using the application. when the user steps in front of the Kinect with the jacket on they are either not tracked or tracked very poorly. I was wondering if their is anything I could do to stop this from happening.

It sounds like the v2 is being over saturated with the retro-reflected light coming back from the high vis clothing. If you have a Kinect v1 on hand, it may be worth trying that one out, it only uses speckle points of light rather than a dense wave. If you dont, let me know and I'll try on one lying around here. Are you planning on using this outdoors? This may also add to some confusion with ambient IR light from natural sources.
