First of all, I would like to re-emphasize the kinect I have is the Kinect for Windows, not xbox.

The issue is I see this flashing green light one day and all my Kinect programs (like Skanect) no longer could detect the sensor.

When I ran the Kinect Explorer Sample code, it says the Kinect is not powered when I have certainly powered it up and see the flashing green light. Does that mean I should change out the power adapter?

I would first check the system configuration. "PrimeSense" should not appear in your Device Manager when using Kinect for Windows. Did you happen to install the PrimeSense drivers on the same system as Kinect for Windows? If so, you must uninstall any third party libraries or drivers that are not Kinect for Windows specific.
