Hello, I have downloaded the trial version of VS 2008 and I have written my first simplistic c++/CLI console app. When i build and try to run it i get this error message:

Unable to start program "C:\Documents and settings\MyName\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\Test1\Debug\Test1.exe"

The system cannot find the path specified

Error spawning 'rc.exe'.

Any ideas why this happens? I Checked the Debug folder and there is no Test1 executable. Whats wrong.

I have the exact issue.

I have searched my entire computer, and rc.exe does not exist anywhere on my system, which is, I believe, what is needed in order for the system to create the .EXE file.

Not sure if it matters, however, I am running a 90-Day trial of Visual Studio 2008.

I also have re-installed VS 08 multiple times with AV turned off, still no luck....
