The problem is that we get (more than) our fair share of idiots and spammers, and these people can try to post "inappropriate" material - which means that we start to appear on "blacklists" of not-safe-for-work sites. We don't want that, and we also don't want the alternative: moderation of each question and answer before it is posted publicly to screen out such material. So there is a blanket ban on image posting.

You cannot, and I found that not putting such screen shots and providing accurate description of the problem in words highly improves the quality if the question.

One note I made from all my experience is this one: the user will never ever tell you what exactly happens. The user cannot even reproduce what the UI tells in some text box showing an exception information (that's why we go away from using the default MessageBox and replace it with different windows providing copy to clipboard, or, in different technology, reporting via the company Web site). But software developers are supposed to be different. You are supposed to provide exact error message, or exception information, or anything like that. In this case, we can use text copy, text search and check up or enter in the search engine exact string values related to the problem. Besides, the need in exact wording disciplines the inquirers, helps to focus on correct terminology, spelling, etc. It highly improves the likelihood or getting a useful advice or solution.
