We are in the process of moving to ForeFront Client Security from Symantec.  We have some machines that for some reason do not join the domain.  We still need to remove Symantec and install FCS.  I'm pretty sure this can be done but everything I've read seems to conflict with the previous article.  Can somebody point me in the right direction?

All help will be greatly appreciated.

The FEP client installation checks for and uninstalls the following existing antimalware clients:

• Symantec Endpoint Protection version 11
• Symantec Corporate Edition version 10
• McAfee VirusScan Enterprise version 8.5 and version 8.7 and its agent
• Forefront Client Security version 1 and the Operations Manager agent
• TrendMicro OfficeScan version 8 and version 10
