Im trying to convert an existing action recording into a coded UI test in a new test project and coded UI test class. When I attempt to convert in the "A1DD" project and the "A1DD tests" class, I get an alert that says "Could not find file 'C:\<file path>\A1DD tests.uitest'" Why is it ignoreing the UIMap.uitest file and looking for a different .uitest file?

 

EDIT: I have figured out how to add the expected file to the project and thus avoid this error message, but I would still like to know why it was suddenly asking for this file in the first place.

Can you please elaborate your scenario in more details ? When you say 'converting an existing action recording into a Coded UI Test' do you mean generating code for an existing UITest file or you are trying to generate code for a MTM recorded strip?
