I wanted to try out WEC 2013 so I downloaded the Platform Builder from the download center. I've been able to create my own OS for the x86 VM and get native code working on the VM but when I try to build an SDK from my x86 OS image so I can do managed development I get this error according to build.log:

I'm using VS 2013 update 2 on Windows 8.1. I would try VS 2012 as I have it concurrently installed but I can't get Application Builder to install for VS 2012 as it complains of "higher version installed".

I have .Net Compact Framework selected in the Core OS menu.

I have installed Application Builder and i have not got any issue with SDK build.
