I have a distributed Biztalk Server 2013 R2 environment:

• 2 Application Nodes, load balanced, part of a BizTalk Group.
• A failover Cluster, with two nodes Active/active, with SQL Server, Enterprise SSO and MSDTC clustered services.

I need to install the update 3062831 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3062831/entsso-experiences-a-memory-leak-after-you-apply-hotfix-3000847): according to the article 2555976 "We recommend that you install Enterprise Single Sign-On update 3062831 on all BizTalk and ENTSSO servers in a BizTalk 2013 R2 group. This fix is independent of BizTalk 2013 R2 CUs. Therefore, it can be installed individually before or after the CU installation."

I assume that the update need to be installed only on two Application nodes that are part of my BizTalk Group, and not on nodes of failover Cluster.

Have anyone experiences with this update?

As stated

install Enterprise Single Sign-On update 3062831 on all BizTalk and ENTSSO servers in a BizTalk 2013 R2 group

ENTSSO servers is your failover cluster

In the eventlog you will have Event ID: 10536, Source: ENTSSO logged if the hotfix is needed 
I assume you have the event logged on both cluster and LB systems?
