Being new in the field of application development, and knowing that there are so many IT professionals in this forum,I just want to ask what basic requirement should a client must possess or procure inorder to keep LS system rolling.  This is very important for me and my prospect customer to know so that we may be informed on how far we extend of budgeting issues.

Well, first off, there really shouldn't be much that your customer should need to do, it's the person developing the application who does all the "work". The user just, well, "uses" it.

What you do need to keep in mind though, is that LS wasn't at all designed for "developers" to develop applications that are for sale to customers. You *can*, but it's not the purpose that LS was conceived for.

The concept was for in-house "non-developers" to throw together some quick "forms over data", CRUD (create, read, update, delete) databases, in a best practice, latest technologies, no plumbing code required way, where traditionally they may have used Access, or even Excel. Notice I said "no *plumbing* code". Anyone who has used LS for more than 5 minutes *knows* there is *some* code required, if only for enabling/disabling buttons & checking permissions etc.

I don't think that they envisaged actual professional developers embracing the product as willing as some of us have done.
