I am working on a research project and I am having trouble finding in depth documentation on the hardware of the Kinect mainly the infrared blasters and the Infrared depth sensor, how these items work together, the effect of having multiple IR devices running together and if this effects the usability of the kinect and data collection with the IR technology. The knowledge base seems to be pretty limited and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction regarding these datasheets or any information that would be useful. I tried contacting Microsoft and that seems to be useless as well as contacting various research institutions that have used the kinect and work alongside with it. All of these seem to be a dead end. Thank you for any help you may be able to give me.

The team is aware of the request but not something that is exposed externally for developers to use. We do not expose any functionality of the IR blaster in the SDK and is not a feature we enable for developers on Xbox One either.
