Is there such a thing?  And will it ship with VS 2012?  If so, is there a list of feature enhancments somewhere?  It's always so difficult to find information on the reportviewer.  Any help much appreciated!

Yes there will be an update to the ReportViewer control and Report Designer in the next release of Visual Studio. As far as new features this release will contain all of the features that were released with SQL Server 2012 as well as SQL Server 2008 R2 such as (Map, State Indicators, Sparklines and Databars, xlsx and docx export formats, ...). You can get a break down of the features from the What News sites here:
