We have a project server 2010, I added a domain user to the group "Team Members for Project Web App".

This user could not connect to the server and synchronise via MS project 2010 installed on his PC, but he can access the project server using Internet Explorer

Hi Rabih,

In the Project Server security model, the team members by design DO NOT have the "Log on to Project Server from Project Professional" permission. Team members are only intended to connect via IE to do timesheet/task updates and collaborate to the project site.

If a resource has to connect to Project Pro, then it should not be a team member. Thus either the resource should not access Project Pro, or it should be added to another group, such as project manager.
